I am trying to explain something to a player in the store and I don't think I can put it in the proper words to get the ruling across to him and he just printed the EE rulebook so he wants to make sure I am not using old rules...
Can Luxurious Silk's ability to Produce 2 Gold to pay for an action be used to pay for an Equipment? The argument being made is that you are paying the costs of the Equipment so it can be used, however I am trying to explain it properly.

No. The cost of an action is found in its constraint block; Equip does not have the attachment's cost in its constraints block, and therefore, you are paying for the card being brought into play, not the action itself.
