Un-named Cards with Battle Actions VS Ring of Water

L5R CCG Rules board, 7 December 2011 to 8 December 2011

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

The Ring of Water in this arc and the next have the same entering play clause. Four Battle actions, coming from cards with different titles.

I was wondering how created cards with no defining names (since the tokens we get out of packs aren't their actual names by the text of the card creating them) that have Battle actions interact for bringing the Ring of Water into play.

Do they just not count at all since they have no actual name given to them?

Or is the name considered a value for the purpose of the Ring of Water, and since none is given, are they all considered "0" or blank? This of course meaning that they can count for the Ring of Water, but only one of them does since they all have the same properties in the name field.

By extension of the rules about different and same keywords, two cards have "different" titles if each card has a title the other does not.

Since created cards have no title, they never have a title that another card does not have, so they never count among the "cards with different titles" for the Ring of Water.
