Card Legality - Sorry I do not know where to ask

L5R CCG Rules board, 29 September 2011 to 5 October 2011

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Hi,

As the Leader of the Legacy Council cannot answer, I have to ask here because the European Championships are comming : Are the Imperial Gift 2 Strongholds legal for Legacy events ? - I think yes because they do not appear in the banned list and I undestand they are banned for official tournaments - Current Legal Arc tournaments only. - Some people answer me : they are banned for sanctionned events and any tournament whose attendees recieve any prize during an AEG event are sanctionned event.

Sorry for this annoying and misplaced question. Regards, Rémi.

Er. I see Lost Traveler Castle and Sunrise Keep in the "Banned" list (http://www.l5r.com/errata-and-bans/), with the description: "These two strongholds from the Imperial Gift 2 set are not legal for AEG sanctioned non-War of Honor L5R tournaments" (my emphasis). It doesn't specify "Current Legal Arc" or have any other qualifier, besides the text regarding War of Honor.

Are you looking at some other page? If so, can you link to it so I can see where the conflict lies?

Thanks Zen. Here is the link to the Legacy Banned Card List. http://rules.l5r.com/Legacy_Pregame_Rules I assume that it is updated and the IG2 Stronghold stay legal for this format. As I have to publish the Legacy format announcements of the European Championships 2011 as soon as possible, I would not like to miss anything.
