One Action, Two Strikes

L5R CCG Rules board, 18 May 2011

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Card Text: Battle: If the enemy leader has taken any battle action during this battle: You may take two additional battle actions after this one. You will not take any other additional battle action this battle.

Does the last sentence mean that I will take no more battle actions, or that I can't take any additional battle actions?

Examples: In the first case: I play One Action, Two Strikes. I play additional action 1. I play additional action 2. I am forced to pass for the rest of the battle.

In the second case: I play One Action, Two Strikes. I play additional action 1. I play additional action 2. My opponent takes an action. I take an action. If I were to play something like Unstoppable Power, it works, but I don't get to take the additional action. Play continues in the same vein.
