A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

This question is mainly about Paneki's Disgrace and Bayushi Paneki in CE.
If I have both in my provinces, can I bring Bayushi Paneki and overlay the Disgrace? I'm not sure if the title must be the same to overlay or just the Experienced version.
Relevant Text: Paneki's Disgrace Shadowlands • Undead • Samurai • Tactician • Plague • Experienced 6 Bayushi Paneki • Unique
Bayushi Paneki Scorpion Clan • Clan Champion • Samurai • Tactician • Hero • Experienced 5 • Loyal • Unique

http://rules.l5r.com/CE_Glossary_E#Experienced: "Keep in mind that an Experienced card's alternate title also regulates his or her capacity to enter play and change control.
"Example: A player who controls a Unique version of The Golden Ronin with the keyword “Experienced Matsu Ichi” can not bring the Unique non-Experienced version of Matsu Ichi into play, or take control of another player’s Unique version of “Matsu Ichi.”"
I could just as easily rewrite the example:
"Example: A player who controls a Unique version of Paneki's Dissgrace with the keyword “Experienced 5 Bayushi Paneki” can not bring the Unique Experienced 5 version of Bayushi Paneki into play, or take control of another player’s Unique version of “Bayushi Paneki.”"

I wasn't asking about bringing both into play separately.
I'll be more clear than I was in my first post: Can Bayushi Paneki be overlayed by Paneki's Disgrace? (I am not asking if I can bring both into play)
Thank you (again).

Yes.
http://rules.l5r.com/CE_Glossary_E#Experienced: "The Experienced keyword may be accompanied by a number that represents the card's experience level, and a name that is an alternate title for the Personality (such as, “Experienced 3 Ginawa.”) ... The alternate title counts in all ways as a second title for the card."
