# of celestrial cards that can be in play

L5R CCG Rules board, 1 May 2011 to 3 May 2011

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Yes, but only if they were revealed simultaneously in your provinces (e.g. thanks to Border Keep), otherwise the old one is discarded when the new one enters play. For more information about Celestials, see Card types.

This is a question about the ruling here viewtopic.php?f=59&t=90515

The rules junta stated that if 2 celestials are simultaneously revealed then 2 celestials can be in play. even with border keep, i can never think of a situation where this would happen. In order to clarify, can anyone provide an example of when this could actually happen?

(e.g. thanks to Border Keep)

The provinces refilled by Border Keep are refilled face-up simultaneously, per Order of effects: "If multiple effects are caused by a single piece of text they occur simultaneously".
