"Target Card Without Attachments"?

L5R CCG Rules board, 2 December 2010 to 6 December 2010

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Hi,

I'm relatively sure that I have this right but why not use the resources available.

If an action has the the words "[action] a target enemy card without attachments" does this mean I can target their followers/weapons/armour/etc which cannot have attachments anyway?

For example - Agasha Gifu.

Yes.

Regarding this question...

Does enemy card include terrains the opponent played?

Does enemy card include terrains the opponent played?

http://rules.l5r.com/CE_Glossary_T#Terrain: "A Terrain is not in any side or army; thus, it is never an enemy or opposing card."

http://rules.l5r.com/CE_Glossary_E#Enemy: "In a phrase such as "an enemy card," "enemy" does not refer to cards outside of units(.)"

Terrains are not in units, so can never be "enemy."
