Arranged Guild - double own honor loss?

L5R CCG Rules board, 3 August 2010

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

I've found this thread, but it doesn't clarify my doubts...

Arranged Guilt Political Limited: Dishonor and destroy your target unbowed Courtier or Magistrate Personality: Dishonor another player's target Personality. You, then that Personality's owner, each lose 3 Honor.

An excerpt from the rules: After a dishonorable Personality is destroyed, the player who controlled him or her loses Honor equal to the Personality's base Personal Honor. This is a rulebook effect, not a card effect.

Does it mean that I lose Honor from both the card effect and the rulebook effect (destruction of a dishonorable Personality) when playing "Arranged Guilt"?

Yes, assuming that your performing Personality has a base Personal Honor of 1 or more, first you lose Honor equal to that stat after he is destroyed, later you lose 3 Honor per Arranged Guilt's text.
