If I create a token personality, say with Udo. Now, I know that there is no gold cost in the creation of this card, but it does have a gold cost of 0. So, if I use Udo, create an undead personality, may I overpay for his entering play with the secluded outpost and attach a card?
secluded Outpost and Token personalties
A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Aside: There are no token Personalities. There are Personalities that are created cards (http://rules.l5r.com/CE_Card_features#Created_cards).
EDIT: Incorrect answer deleted. See below.
I seem to be seeing some conflicting rulings about paying costs and need some official clarification. This old ruling, viewtopic.php?f=59&t=77808&p=1033676&hilit=imperial+artificer#p1033676, led me to beleive I could always overpay the entering play cost of a card if I so wished. I understand now that I cannot overpay the cost of a card without a gold cost field like a ring. I also don't think I can overpay the cost of a zero gold cost strategy. My question is whether I can overpay the the cost of a created follower, item, or personality. The recent question asked about Udo seems to indicate not. But the old cited post seems to indicate that I can overpay for a farmlands follower. So, what's the difference? Has the ruling changed.
Thanks.

After review, we've determined that the above ruling was incorrect, based upon the precedent to which you linked.
Yes, as with Farmlands/Imperial Artificer, you must pay for any card entering play, even a 0 Gold Cost created Personality. Therefore, you may overpay for it with Secluded Outpost and trigger its effects.
