A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.
I was wondering, can you have multiple copies of the same personality in play. I know you can only have 1 unqiue of a personality in a deck, but could have have 2 of the same non exp person in play, or one exp version and one non exp version?
Example, can I have two Udo's in play?

Or am I only allow to have one in play at a given time? I understand the keywords about Unique and Singular.
(C)an you have multiple copies of the same personality in play.
No general rule prevents it.
The Unique (http://rules.l5r.com/CE_Glossary_U#Unique) and Singular (http://rules.l5r.com/CE_Glossary_S#Singular) keywords, of course, affect that for specific cards.
