Just an odd question, but when does a Fate card enter the discard pile? Is it as soon as it is announced that the card is being used, or is it after the resolution of the card's effect(s)?
Entering the discard pile
A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.
Assuming your question deals with Strategy cards that are played to take an action from one of their abilities, they are discarded after the action ends (unless it is a Terrain, or the action's own costs or effects put the Strategy card into play). See Card types, Playing Strategies for more information.
