I was looking at the comprehensive rules for CE and came across a question. During the focus round, could you give an example of an effect used "instead of" focusing? I am unsure as to what may be done at that time.

There are currently none legal in Celestial Edition, but the rule was included because past cards have had such effects and future cards may do so again. Such past cards include Smoke and Mirrors, Jitte, and Wrath of the Emperor, among others.
