Targeting Gold Cost instead of Force

L5R CCG Rules board, 24 March 2010

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

There are several cards out there that target the gold cost now instead of force, my question is about personalities with attached items. Do attached items count toward the gold cost or do cards like Laying in Wait and Utogu no Oni effects ignore items?

They ignore items. Cards do not add to a personalities gold cost unless otherwise specified.
