The Last One

L5R CCG Rules board, 23 March 2010

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Hi

With the wording on The Last One, does that negate the complete effects of card if only part of the action applies to what TLO stops?

E.g. Game of sincerity. It stops the dishonour part, but will it stop the 2 honour loss and well as the "does not contribute" as they are not part of the same sentence. Also with Unexpected Intimidation as well. Does it stop the bow and send home and destruction but not the removal.

Cheers

Chuck

It negates bowing, dishonoring, movement, and / or destruction.

See also Effects, Prevention (including negation): Changes to game state are prevented individually. Preventing one effect of an action does not automatically prevent the others, for instance.

The Last One will negate the dishonour effect of Game of Sincerity, but won't affect the honour loss or the "does not contribute". Similarly, it will negate the bowing, send home and destruction from Unexpected Intimidation, so the Personality will be removed from the game.

Note also that all effects are separate, regardless of whether they're in the same sentence or not.
