I want to make sure my jank works, so here goes:
Let's say I have a personality in play and I want him in the discard pile, but not dead. Can I attach Mujina Gang and choose to discard the personality. I am assuming yes but, you know what assuming does.

Nothing in the rules prevents you discarding the Personality when instructed to "discard a card in [a] unit".
