After hearing the decision with Isawa Fosuta and Strength of the Bamboo, I felt obligated to create this post.
If Isawa Fosuta uses his ability to target a personality who is also targeted by The Last One, then what happens at the start of the turn that Fosuta's action would reduce that personalities chi to 0? Is the destruction negated (and therefore the targeted personality cannot be killed by chi death)? If so, does the last Curse token get negated (leaving the targeted personality at 1 chi)?
Related cards:
The Last One Open: Target your Personality: Destroy all of your other Personalities. If this destroyed at least four Personalities, permanently give your targeted Personality +4F, and until the end of the game, negate effects of other player's actions that bow, dishonor, move, or destroy him.
Isawa Fosuta (Experienced) Maho Open: Bow Fosuta: Lose 6 Honor. While Fosuta remains bowed, you may negate his straightening and, at the start of each turn, you may target a Personality and give him a -1F/-1C Curse token. After the next time this game Fosuta straightens or leaves play, destroy all Curse tokens.

The Last One creates an ongoing effect that negates the Personality's destruction, including from chi death:
Prevention (including_negation): Two major CHANGES to these rules, 26 Jan 2010: ... 2) ongoing as well as continuous negation effects will now work against Chi death.

Regarding this post http://www.alderac.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=59&t=81437&start=0:
Alex says: "The Last One creates an ongoing effect that negates the Personality's destruction, including from chi death:

The Last One says (emphasis mine) to "negate effects of other player's actions that bow, dishonor, move, or destroy him." I can see how other cards like Justly Earned Victory and Shameful Injury can negate chi death, because they negate the bonuses and penalties of -1 Chi Tokens, but I don't understand how The Last One prevents this, unless the effect of giving a -1 chi token (and causing the personality to go below 1 chi) can be construed as "destroying" a personality as well.
As I understand it, Fosuta's effect is only to give -1F/-1C tokens. After that, the rulebook effect takes over and kills a personality with less than 1 chi. This would not be negated by The Last One as it is the rulebook effect, not another players actions that caused the death.

EXCEPTION 2: A Personality’s destruction for having 0 Chi (Chi death rule) comes from the cost or effect that last gave the Personality a Chi penalty, or from the rulebook if there was no such effect.
Giving out tokens that have a -1C value is the same as giving the personality -1C directly in terms of the source.
