Put quite simply, are cards focused in duels "discarded" after the duel ends? Will it trigger reactions that revolve around discarding cards? I was under the impression that these cards are NOT discarded, but are simply "placed into the discard pile" after the duel ends.
Duels and "Discarding"
A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Cards that react to other cards being discarded may not react to the cleanup phases of duels in which focus cards are put in the discard pile.
