Hi all,
Can you use Falling Leaf Strike on a Monk that is already at the current battlefield to apply the force penalty or do you have to move a monk to the battlefield?

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

This is not an official answer but yes you can use it on a monk that is already at the battlefield.
Thanks for the quick reply, Sparks-san
I'm just looking for an official answer, since I got called on it in a casual game >.<!

If you're looking for an official answer, ask the question in the rules question forum, that's where all the L5R rules junta will answer the question, generally they won't answer a rules question in the general forum.

The former. All effects are independent. See the FAQ entry, "Is an effect legal if an effect can't happen?" http://rules.l5r.com/CE_FAQ#Is_an_actio ... _happen.3F
