Sorry to have another wedge question since there was one recently but...
Since Strength of Bamboo works with Wedge, how about the reaction ability on Hand of the Jade Dragon? Since the reaction from the hand takes place before the resolution of the effect from Wedge isn't the unit still technically able to be targeted? Furthermore, does the ability on Hand of the Jade Dragon even technically target anything? Since it just says "this personality"... you don't get to choose a target and the word target isn't on the card.
Thank you in advance rules gurus!

If the Personality who bears the Hand of the Jade Dragon performs Wedge, the Item's Reaction is legal to use before Wedge's resolution and will negate this Personality's destruction from Wedge's effects.

Yes, for stated reason.
does the ability on Hand of the Jade Dragon even technically target anything?
No, because there is no "target" in its text.
