A player, 6 November 2009
If I target the personality that has Consuming the Flesh with an action, will it's reaction work. I ask because the first part of the cost is to destroy the personality which would in turn destroy the spell. It seems to me that the spell would now not be able to bow.
Consuming the Flesh Reaction: After another player's action targets one of your Personalities in your current army, destroy the Personality and bow this card: The action's effects do not happen. Create a 2F/2C/0PH Shadowlands • Undead Personality at the current battlefield. Lose 3 Honor.
Thank you!

No, for reason stated. Costs must be paid in order. http://rules.l5r.com/CE_Costs_and_restr ... g_of_costs

It should be noted that Consuming the Flesh reacts to "Another player's" action targeting a personality in your army. You may not use it in conjunction with your own actions.
