I have a question I looked in the archives and couldn't get an answer. So here is the scenario. I have matsu Kasei at home with two other personalities. My opponent has a personality at the province. With Kasei's ability do I have to move Kasei or can I move any of my other personalities to that battle field since I am being opposed?
Matsu Kasei
A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Any. The ability moves a "target Personality." If it was limited to moving Matsu Kasei, it would specifically name Kasei.
viewtopic.php?f=59&t=79891 in reference to this answer, kasei can only move himself into a battle if he isnt at the battle because of the rule of location. If he is at the battle he can move any of your personalities.

I thought the battle action on the personality had to move specifically the personality who is performing the action in order to be a legal action as stated in the rule of location exception.
Rule of location reads: EXCEPTION: As with the Rule of Presence, a Battle action can target or be taken by a card in a unit at another location if its costs or effects say they are able to move that unit to the current battlefield.

Sorry. Because the original question did not mention Location, I misunderstood the question. So will just confirm previous poster has it right: If not in battle, Matsu Kasei can only move himself.
