Hi there,
Is the strategy Obfuscation considered to be performed by the targeted personality? I ask because of Daigotsu Susumu exp. or the Direct Approach stopping a personality from performing. The strategy itself doesn't seem to be performed, but attaching things is a performed action if you do it the normal way, so I'm not sure.
Thank you!

Time to hit the FAQ: http://rules.l5r.com/CE_FAQ#What_performs_an_action.3F
"Personalities and Followers perform actions printed on them, and actions where they are targeted between the two colons of an action." Does not apply.
"Actions on Items or Spells are performed by their Personality." Does not apply. Which leaves...
"Nobody performs an action if it targets only as an effect (that is, isn't printed between two colons) or doesn't target."
There you have it: not performed.

Just to get a clarification please with regards to this topic viewtopic.php?f=59&t=79874
Whilst the obfuscation itself is not performed any action on a spell or item attached to the personaility as an effect of the Obfuscation would still be performed by the Personality and this prevented from doing so if targeted By Daigotsu Susumu Xp, or a The Direct Approach(force dependant of course).
This was the crux of the original post I think.
Thank Az
