Central Castle Text Reaction: After the resolution of an action during battle for which you discarded a card due to its costs or effects: Draw a card.
Heavy Regulars Text Battle: Destroy this card: Ranged 5 Attack.
As I understand, after a follower is destroyed, it goes to the discard pile and is considered discarded. Is destroying Heavy Regulars as a cost also cosidered as discarding it? If so, can I destroy Heavy Regulars to make a range 5 attack and react with Central Castle to draw a card? Thank you

Is destroying Heavy Regulars as a cost also cosidered as discarding it?
No, per the glossary, "to discard a card" has the default meaning of discarding a Fate card from hand on Central Castle, even if "to destroy" implies that Heavy Regulars will be in the discarded state after the resolution of its action.
can I destroy Heavy Regulars to make a range 5 attack and react with Central Castle to draw a card?
No, because you didn't discard a card, you destroyed it.
