Kakita Kensho-in (Exp) Trait Clarification

L5R CCG Rules board, 30 September 2009

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Kakita Kensho-in (Exp) After Kensho-in wins a duel: Before the next time this turn another player's action bows, moves, or destroys her, negate that effect.

Bayushi Paneki (Exp5) Political Battle: Bow a target Personality. Destroy him if he is dishonorable. You may target and dishonor a Personality.

If a dishonorable Kakita Kensho-in has won two duels previously in the turn, is then the target of Bayushi Paneki's battle action, what happens?

A> She negates the bowing, then is destroyed. ("next time", is taken to mean the first instance that triggers the conditional effect of her trait) B> She negates the bowing, then negates the destruction. (kensho-in's trait can have more then one activation to be stored for use during the turn)

Thanks for your time and assistance.

A> She negates the bowing, then is destroyed.

The two delayed effects from her trait trigger simultaneously before Paneki's action bows her, one negates the bowing and the other fails, then Paneki's action destroys her.
