Wrath of the elements + Naval

L5R CCG Rules board, 30 September 2009

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

I don't think this works but I wanted to be sure.

If the spell bowed is attached to a naval personality, can wrath of the elements be used as a naval action? I ask because I'm unsure if the personality would be performing the action it not.

No.

If a Spell is attached to the attacking Naval Personality that performed the Reaction from the rulebook that allows him to perform the first normal Battle action taken during this battle, his controller cannot use the ability on Wrath of the Elements as this first Battle action because it is not performed by any Personality (see Perform in the Glossary).
