Extended Maneuvers Battle: Before this battle’s resolution, you may target and straighten a Samurai Personality at the current battlefield, and you may target and bow a non-Samurai Personality there.
When does the "Battle:" effect resolve? Is it possible to take Battle or Open actions to ready a personality once the Extended Maneuvers effect is applied?
Bonus question: Does a Unit that includes Followers lead by a bowed Personality still contribute force during batle resolution?

When does the "Battle:" effect resolve?
Never, effects do not resolve; see Resolve in the Glossary.
Such a delayed effect is activated during the resolution of the action and it is applied when its trigger is met; for Extended Maneuvers: before this battle’s resolution.
Is it possible to take Battle or Open actions to ready a personality once the Extended Maneuvers effect is applied?
To "ready" is a term used in another card game, with superheroes and supervillains. When a bowed Personality becomes unbowed, he "straightens".
Open actions cannot be taken during battles; see Designators.
Once the delayed effect of this Terrain is applied, the Combat Segment and its round of Battle actions are over so no player can take another Battle action; see Battles.
Does a Unit that includes Followers lead by a bowed Personality still contribute force during batle resolution?
Its unbowed Followers contribute their Force to their army whenever this army's Total Force is checked, including during battle resolution.
Glossary, Total Force: "An army's total Force is the sum of the modified Force of all unbowed Personalities and Followers in the army."
