1.
Is knowledge of card faces part of game state?
For example:
I play Insight. I look at the 3 top cards of my deck. I choose not to rearrange the cards, and I choose not to play a card.
Was Insight successful?
2.
Is the order of face-down cards part of game state?
For example:
I play Insight. I look at the 3 top cards of my deck. I choose to rearrange the cards, and I choose not to play a card.
Was Insight successful?
thanks, Andrew

According to the current definition of successful, both uses of Insight are successful because you looked at the top 3 cards of your Fate deck, then you chose to rearrange them or not, then you got an optional opportunity to take an additional Battle action, which changes the game state (see also Look).
