Tempered Resurrection

L5R CCG Rules board, 22 April 2009

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Tempered Resurrection

Fire Open: Bow this Shugenja unless he has the Fire keyword: You may remove an honorably dead Personality you own from the game. Target a face-up Personality in one of your provinces. Reduce his Gold Cost by the Gold Cost of any Personality you removed. Bring the target into play (paying all costs).

---

Am I correct in thinking that even if I do not remove a personality I may still bring in a target face up personality for his full, base gold cost?

Edit: and if the above is allowed, do I still need to meet his honor requirement?

Am I correct in thinking that even if I do not remove a personality I may still bring in a target face up personality for his full, base gold cost? Yes. Note that you can only choose to pay two less gold when bringing a Personality aligned to your clan into play during the Dynasty Phase.

Edit: and if the above is allowed, do I still need to meet his honor requirement? Yes. Note that you can only pay the extra to ignore the honour requirement of a Personality aligned to your clan during the Dynasty Phase.
