Wouldn't it be better to actually answer rules questions, since I've now come on to ask the same question, found it previously "answered" without any answer being given.
Are you actually legally able to declare that you will "search" for Gifts and Favors in SE?

No such card or rule exists in Samurai Edition.
Of course, if you really want to just shuffle your deck (for which reason I assume you are looking for a nonexistant card via an old rule) just look for a Legacy holding when you know you don't have one in your deck.
Of course, you won't be able to do that again that game, but it is a viable option.
