A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Target one unit with the highest total Force of all units in play (even if tied). Remove it from the game. Until the start of your next turn, reduce the strength of all of your provinces by the base Force of the unit's Personality.
Does this check unit force? Meaning bowed personalities would be 0 for checking purposes.

Does (Fall of Greatness) check unit force?
Yes.
Meaning bowed personalities would be 0 for checking purposes.
The force of the unit is not zero if only the Personality is bowed (http://rules.l5r.com/Glossary_U#Unit), though a bowed Personality contributes no force. (Fixed.)

According to this post, a bowed personality's force is 0. This is in direct contradiction to several previous rulings, as well as the comprehensive rules. If this were true, a ranged attack of 1 would destroy any bowed personality (sans followers).
The personality's contribution to the unit force would be 0, but the personality's force would not be, from my understanding.
Correct?
(This is very important, as I am a 7th tower junky).

Not sure what I was thinking of there. Sorry.
