How does Hida Sozen (exp) interact with destruction effects from cards that have been removed from the game, and face down? Does Hida Sozen (exp) remember/know where his destruction effects came from, even if the card has been removed?
Example:
My opponent has Hida Sozen (exp) in play at a battle.
I have 2 Kokujin Buncho in the same battle. I use both of their abilities on Sozen. I remove both from the game using Determination and any other action that kills my own people. At the end of the battle, Hida Sozen (exp) gets a total of -6chi from cards that are removed from the game.
Questions:
1. Does Hida Sozen (Exp) die at the end of the battle?
2. Does the answer change if I remove the cards that are giving the penalty AFTER they give their penalty? (For example, same Kokujin Bunchos, but I send them home from the battle with Sozen, finish that battle, and kill and remove them from game in a different battle)
