A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

May I target a face-down card with Unexpected Arrival if it's known to me that it is a Personality? (it's known to me from Overflowing Fields, as one example)
If the answer is 'No', does the answer change if it's known to everyone that it's a Personality?
thanks, Andrew

The answer is "No" to both. Prior knowledge of what a card is neither helps nor hinders your choices of available targets.
