A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. A player, 13 January 2009

If I destroy a province that I targetted with Daidoji Jitawa's recon action, and the card I draw is Brilliant Victory, am I then still able to play Brilliant Victory in response to destroying that province?

Recon Limited: Target a province. After the next time this turn it is destroyed by battle resolution, gain 2 Honor and draw a card.

Reaction: After you destroy one or more provinces or units by winning a battle: Gain 3 Honor.

Yes.

The delayed effect of Jitawa occurs first, and you draw a card. If that card is Brilliant Victory, you may then play it, should you so desire.
