viewtopic.php?f=59&t=72050 Regarding this... I believe I remember reading a ruling that said personalities dont go home bowed from battle resolution until all provinces have been resolved? Is this true? This would make a difference for cards that say "Target a unit at home" right?

No this is false. Attacking and allied units at a battlefield return home bowed during the final steps of the battle at this battlefield.
Battles, Final steps: "Once a battle's Resolution Segment ends, or once the Combat Segment has ended if something makes Resolution not happen, [...] regardless of who wins, loses, or ties in the battle, all attacking and allied units at its battlefield return home, and these units are then bowed if they returned home."
You may have been mistaken by this rule ibidem: "If no battlefields that haven't ended a battle remain, then when the battle ends all units still at battlefields return home, are bowed by resolution if they were attacking or allied, and all battlefields cease to exist."
