I tried a search for this one, and Desperate Plea didn't come up anywhere, hopefully this hasn't already been asked and answered.
Desperate Plea: Unique Political Limited: Gain 5 Honor. Permanently reduce the strength of each of your provinces by 5. After your next Events Phase begins, lose 5 Honor; effects do not negate or reduce this loss
and the Spider Clan Strongholds (for example, The Spider's Lair: You do not lose Honor from Fate and Spider Clan cards you own. In your Dynasty Phase, one time for each of your provinces destroyed this game, you may refill a Province face-up.
Does the Spider Clan ignore the 5 honor loss that happens on the next turn?

Spider Clan's "do not" is neither a negation nor a reduction. In fact, that "lose 5 honor" never happens for a Spider's Lair player.
