L5R CCG Rules board, 26 October 2008

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

I didn't see this posted anywhere, but the text on this card strikes me as odd. The cost of the action is to target your commander or tactician, and bow one or more of your target followers. It then says "target an enemy unit with lower total force then the followers you targeted. If this action bowed them, destroy that unit." The only thing this card says you bow is your followers. Are you supposed to bow the enemy unit that you target?

Only the Well-Trained Listen just destroys the enemy unit.

In, "If this action bowed them, destroy that unit.", "them" refers to the Followers you bowed as a cost (and is included as an assurance that the cost was paid), and "that unit" refers to the targeted enemy unit.
