Hi,
Was playing the other night and came across this scenario - My opponent is playing Great Falls Castle and has Glory of the Shogun in play. We engage in a battle, and after playing Draw Your Blade and Stay Your Blade, he attaches a Maga-yari and a Blade of Hubris as two of his battle actions. He then proceeds to put Ring of Water in play, as he said he's fulfilled the requirements for it.
He argues that he played two different weapons(and thus, two different cards with different titles) to Glory of the Shogun and that it constitutes as two Battle Actions, therefore fulfilling the requirements on Ring of Water.
There is another thread here - viewtopic.php?f=59&t=61271&p=783137&hilit=ring+of+water#p783137
In that thread it has a similar situation of attaching with Eastern Hub Port for meeting Ring of Water's requirement, and it was ruled there that it was not legal, as EHP is a trait, not a Battle Action.
Maybe I just answered my own question, but does the same apply to cards like Great Falls Castle and Glory of the Shogun in that when you attach items as a Battle Action it does not count towards Ring of Water?
Or, is he right in that you can attach different weapons essentially 4 times to meet the requirements of Ring of Water?
Thanks in advance.

Ring of Water says, "fourth or later Battle action from cards with different titles." The question revolves around where the action is from.
http://rules.l5r.com/Glossary_F#From: "The source is the card that the effect, action or targeting is printed on, or the rulebook if it is printed there."
The action is not "from" the attached items. Attaching them doesn't count (unless an Item had an action printed on it that permitted attachment).
