So I was randomly reading through the comp. rules (don't know why) and found this:
Searching multiple areas If an effect instructs a player to search two different game areas: •If the first area consists of face-up cards (such as a discard pile), and the player finds and selects what he or she was searching for in that area, the second area is not searched. Once the second area starts to be searched, cards in the face-up area may not be selected any more. •If the first area consists of face-down cards (such as a deck), the second area may be searched regardless of whether anything was found or selected in the first area. •A deck only needs to be shuffled if it was actually searched.
The second bullet is what I am interested in, in regards to searching for a Legacy holding. Searching for a Legacy is worded as such:
Reaction: After your Dynasty Phase ends, if you have brought no Holdings into play this turn, bow your Stronghold: Search your deck, then your Provinces, for a Legacy Holding. Put it into play without Gold cost.
First off, is the Legacy reaction allowing me to search multiple places? And if so, do the rules for searching multiple areas allow me to find a Legacy holding in my deck and then still look at my face-down cards in provinces?
