If I "sneak" a terrain and my opponent plays Reinforce the Gates what happens to the terrain? Is put into my discard or does it come into play but it's effects do not resolve?
Reaction: After a player announces a Battle action before the Defender’s first normal opportunity to act or pass: Negate the action’s effects.

If I "sneak" a terrain [...]
Assuming you mean: "If I announce a Terrain Battle action before the Defender's first normal opportunity to act or pass, thanks to Sneak Attack for example" then it is time for a: [Mod reminder: there is no such thing as "sneaking"; please use complete card titles when asking questions]
[...] my opponent plays Reinforce the Gates what happens to the terrain?
Rules for Terrains have changed on May 21st: "If requirements, costs and any required targeting of a Terrain action have been met, the Action card enters play at the current battlefield as a rulebook effect, before the Terrain action resolves" (emphasis mine).
As a consequence, if you announce a Terrain Battle action before the Defender's first normal opportunity to act or pass, but he plays Reinforce the Gates's Reaction to negate your Battle action's effects, this Terrain Action card enters play at the current battlefield as a rulebook effect, then its effects are negated, then the action ends but the Terrain card remains in play.

Thanks for the answer. I was hoping that was the case.
I have a follow up question now. If I use a Sneak Attack to play Unfamiliar Ground and my opponent plays Reinforce the Gates then Unfamiliar Ground will enter play but have it's effects negated because the effect tries to resolve before my defending opponent has the first opportunity to play an action or pass. But what if I play Three-Stone River or another terrain that does not have an immediately effect to resolve? Does Reinforce the Gates have any effect on the terrain?
Thanks!

Reinforce the Gates negates all effects of the Terrain Battle action, even if they are delayed.
