If I target Kakita's First Blade with Clan Heirloom, can I move said item to a non-Crane Clan personality? This question actually covers all items that specifically attach to one clan.
Clan Heirloom vs. Kakita's First Blade
A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

This could potentially vary depending on card text, but Clan Heirloom does use the word "attach" (http://rules.l5r.com/Glossary_A#Attach), so it would obey all rules text concerning attachment (e.g., "Will not attach" or "Will only attach").
Okay, I understand that Clan Heirloom ''attaches'' said card. Could I target Blade of Guile, and when it moves, it rehonors whomever it attaches to? I believe so, but I want your official ruling.

Pretty sure this has been answered before in some way, shape or form. Let's see... Hm. Not exactly. viewtopic.php?f=59&t=59266
Transferring a card from one unit to another isn't attaching, but Clan Heirloom specifically uses the word "attach," so yes, attachment related effects would trigger.
