With Shiro no Soshi as a stronghold, Ninja Stronghold may enter play as a Ninjutsu Personality. If it turns face-up during a battle it is in, what happens? What would happen to a Region or Event that turned face-up in a home or battle?

My dear Arthur, this wasn't true of Kuroiban Compound during Lotus, and it's not true of Ninja Stronghold now either. Yes, Shiro no Soshi will give Ninja Stronghold the Ninjutsu keyword, but a non-Personality can't do a whole lot with that keyword.
From the Legacy Format rules, additions to the Samurai Rulebook (emphasis mine):

And even from the Stronghold in question (emphasis mine, again): "Each time you would reveal a Dynasty card during the Events Phase, you may look at it, then choose not to reveal it if it is a Ninjutsu Personality."
