Seat of Power + Re-targeting a Target

L5R CCG Rules board, 20 March 2008

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Seat of Power Legacy • Singular Bow this card: Produce 2 Gold. Reaction: When an action would target one of your Unique Clan Champion or Daimyo Personalities: The action instead targets another of your legal Personalities with the same Clan alignment at his location

my question is, for cards with multiple and simultaneous targets can i redirect with seat of power to a target that already had been taken ?

e.g. Shuten Doji's Fury Battle: Dishonor one of your target Personalities: Lose 3 Honor. Bow one or more target cards opposing him without attachments, up to his base Personal Honor.

my opponent has a personality with 3PH and uses Shuten Doji's Fury. I have 3 personality and one of them is a clan champion or unique daimyo, and my opponent targets the three personalities, can i redirect the target that is targeting my champ or unique daimyo to another personality that already has been targeted by the same action ?

thanks

There is no such thing as "redirection" in Samurai Edition rules.

No, you can't use Seat of Power's ability to make Shuten Doji's Fury target the same card twice.

The fantastic search function is your friend, please use it before raising questions, it loves helping people. Shuten Doji's Fury vs. Seat of Power Seat of power again Seat of Power + Strike of the Dragon redirecting multiple targets Multiple targets and redirection
