Mandatory Costs, like Hired Killer, must be paid if possible.

That answer is supposed to be obsolete , isnt it? The rules reversal , makes optional to pay the costs of a redirected hired killer or ruthless assault ( unless it is redirected to a unit with the same total cost )
It is acording to this: http://rules.l5r.com/Abilities_and_actions#C._Pay_costs If a mandatory variable cost depends on the action's targeting, and the targeting is interfered with (while still being legal) such that the cost also changes, this counts as interfering with the payment of a mandatory cost. [ADDED 30 January 2008]
Since it is now considered as "interfering with the payment of mandatory costs" you can now avoid paying if you dont want to.
Could the Hired killer entry ( http://rules.l5r.com/Rulings_H#Hired_Killer ) be updated acording to january's reversal? Thank you.
