Hi,
I apologize if the question has ever been answered, but I didn't find more than this : http://www.alderac.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=59&t=60441&p=773480&hilit=seppuku#p773480 which is about denounced on stage and seppuku, not about Yogo Honami and seppuku.
1) My initial question was about Yogo Honami. Let's say I use Uyeda on a dishonored personality. My opponent do the seppuku. So he reduces his honor loss to 1. Yet it is still an honor loss.
Can I react then with Yogo Honami to increase this honor loss ? Or does the term "reduce" implicitly means that the honor loss cannot be increased any more?
[*]Reaction: Any number of times per turn, before you lose Honor from an action that targeted or was performed by one of your Courtier or Samurai Personalities: He commits seppuku. If the seppuku destroyed him, reduce the Honor loss to one. [*]
[*]Political Reaction: Before a player loses Honor, bow Honami: Increase the loss by 1.[*]
2) When reading the post about denounced on stage, I can guess the difference is about timing, and the fact that the seppuku doesn't generate a new loss, but alters the original, and because the effect of denounced on stage can't be applied twice on the same loss. (it applies first on the original loss)
Yet, Honami and seppuku seem to have exactly the same timing. So I would say it can increase the altered loss (seppuku) Am I correct?
If not, could you please tell me what I've missed?
Thanks!

Nothing about the word "reduce" prohibits additional effects increasing the Honor Loss. If it instead imposed a "maximum" honor loss of 1, that would be different.
Seppuku and Honami's ability are both Reactions with the same timing trigger. After your opponent uses Seppuku he'll pass the opportunity to take Reactions to you and you can play Honami's Reaction to increase the loss by 1, making it a total of 2.
