Kakita Tsukao

L5R CCG Rules board, 22 February 2008 to 28 February 2008

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Looking for clarification on Tsukao's ability and the reaction from Kyuden Kyotei. Can I use the reaction in conjunction with Tsukao.

Sure you can.

Discarding a card makes it go from a place where it was face-down (your hand) to a place where it is face-up (your discard pile), so it turns face up, and you can play a Reaction timed around that. It'll gain +1FV and keep that bonus until the end of the turn in your Discard Pile. So when you check to see what the Force Bonus is on the created item, you'll lock in the increased number on your new Item Card.
