A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

How does Justly Earned Victory interact with tokens such as Earth Becomes Sky?
Justly Earned Victory Battle: Negate all current Force bonuses and penalties to cards at this battlefield from actions.
Earth Becomes Sky Earth Battle: Bow this Spell: Give a target Personality opposing this unit a -5F/-2C Rock token. Cards in his unit can not perform actions for the rest of the turn.
Does the token become -2C? Does the token remian unaffected and still give the personality -5F?

How does Justly Earned Victory interact with tokens such as Earth Becomes Sky?
http://rules.l5r.com/Non-card_physical_game_elements: "Effects of tokens come from the card or other source that created them."
If an action makes a token, the token's effects are action effects.

So, upon reading Justly Earned Victory further, I was wondering...
Justly Earned Victory: Battle: Negate all current Force bonuses and penalties to cards at this battlefield from actions.
It just(ly) negates the force penalty, or the whole action that caused it?

Actions are never negated; just individual effects are.

would the change to the token be permanent or would the token return to -5F/-2C at the end of the turn

http://rules.l5r.com/Effects#Duration_of_effects: "Ongoing effects last until the end of the turn in which they occur unless otherwise indicated."
