If I use Matsu Yoshike's ability to recon a province then attack the province with both Yoshike and Daidoji Gempachi, which force altering ability occurs first?

and

I have 2 Matsu Yoshikes and I use both of their recon abilities on one province. After, I attack with both Yoshikes. Will Evenly Matched be legal to play to bow both of my Yoshikes after they assign to the reconed province?

Martin Lund (rules official), 15 January 2008

Recon Open: Target a province. During battles at that province's battlefield, your Samurai and Followers there have +1F.

Reaction: After Cavalry Maneuvers: Raise Gempachi's Force, and the Force of another target Personality in his army, to the Force of a target card opposing them.

If you have one timing trigger of "after" something ends in a sequence and another timing trigger of "before" the next thing in a sequence begins, the "after" trigger to the first thing in the sequence comes first.

Citation

“During a battle” includes both the Combat and Resolution Segments (added 5 August 2007).

Citation

The Cavalry Maneuvers Segment comes before the Combat Segment, so Gempachi's "After Cavalry Maneuvers" timing is always before any "During battles," timing such as Yoshike's bonus.

Reaction: After a player gives one or more of his Personalities a Force bonus from an action: Bow each of them for whom the Force bonus was greater than or equal to his current Chi.

Each Yoshike only gives a +1F Bonus. Each Yoshike has 2 Chi. The two bonuses as distinct effects and do not merge into a single bonus. Neither +1F Bonus is equal to or greater than 2, so Evenly Matched can not be played.
