Furious assault and few against many

L5R CCG Rules board, 24 December 2007

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

A player, 24 December 2007

Few against Many: Reaction: Before another player’s card’s effect destroys one of your Personalities, bow one of his Followers: Negate the Personality’s destruction.

Furious assault: Text Battle: Target one of your Berserkers or bow one of your target Personalities or Followers: Lose 2 Honor. Target an enemy unit. Its controller may move it home and bow it. If it moved, it cannot move again this Combat Segment. If it did not move, destroy it after this Combat Segment ends.

Question is this: If I play furious assault, can they later play few against many to ignore the destruction? If so why and how comparing it to all the rulings on Adeiko. Just need to know as this is all starting to get confusing and I would like to know how to work this out for myself based on card text.

Thanks for your time.

Yes.

If so why and how comparing it to all the rulings on Adeiko.

Shosuro Adieko has a different trigger. Shosuro Adieko's Reaction looks for a particular time (which is the point that confuses people). Few Against Many looks for a particular effect.
