Multiple Battlefields of Shallow Graves and Doubling

L5R CCG Rules board, 18 December 2007

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

A player, 18 December 2007

I play a Battlefield of Shallow Graves, which my opponent destroys. Then, I play another Battlefield of Shallow Graves.

My opponent takes an action that normally causes him to gain 2 honor.

With the doubling effect from two Battlefield of Shallow Graves in effect, how much honor does my opponent gain?

a) 8 honor (2 honor doubled for 4, and doubled again for b) 6 honor (doubling just increases the muliplier by one, from x2 to x3) c) 4 honor (the effects of the second Battlefield of Shallow Graves cancel out the effects of the earlier one)

Battlefield of Shallow Graves

Terrain Battle: Double each of the enemy leader's Honor gains until the battle ends; destroying this Terrain does not end this effect. Before this battle's resolution, reduce the Force of each Personality in the enemy army to half his Force at that time, rounded up.
