Soul Jar, Kolat Forgery

L5R CCG Rules board, 4 December 2007

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

In reference to: _ here, where 'This Personality' is explained first ; _ there, where it is said 'this Personality' refer to the personality an attachment card is attached to right now ; _ over there, where we learn about Companion Spirit that "This Personality" means the card something is attached to -- except when it can't mean that due to the First Cardinal Rule.

I control a bowed Personality named Chuda Jack with a Soul Jar attached. At least one other Personality I control, has risen from the grave thanks to this Soul Jar. This item is destroyed thanks to a Kolat Forgery. Jack straightens. What happens please ? _ After Soul Jar is destroyed, 'this Personality' refers to its last-known bearer. The animated corpses are destroyed when Jack straightens. _ After Soul Jar is destroyed, nobody can be considered 'this Personality' because it is no longer attached. The zombies remain in play.

Thanks for your help.
